  • 1.5-2 cups all-purpose flour adjust based on dough consistency
  • 1 teaspoon salt essential for best taste

Method
 

Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of cooled, plain mashed potatoes with 1 teaspoon of salt. Use a fork or potato masher to ensure the potatoes are smooth and free of lumps.
  2. Gradually add 1½ to 2 cups of all-purpose flour to the potato mixture, stirring gently until a soft dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a round about 1-inch thick. Slice it into four wedges to create potato farls.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes. Lightly grease the skillet with butter or neutral oil.
  5. Cook the farls in the preheated skillet for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the farls to a plate and serve warm.
