Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns with melted unsalted butter, salt, and ground black pepper.
  3. Transfer the hash brown mixture into your greased skillet or pizza pan, pressing it down firmly.
  4. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Remove the crust from the oven and layer shredded cheddar cheese, breakfast sausage or bacon, diced bell peppers, and chopped green onions.
  6. Form four shallow depressions in the cheese layer and crack one egg into each depression.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 3 minutes before slicing.
