Cooking Steps
  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to boil, add pasta and cook according to package instructions (about 8–10 minutes), then drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare Brussels Sprouts: Thinly slice or shred Brussels sprouts for even cooking.
  3. Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crisp (5–7 minutes), then remove and reserve bacon grease.
  4. Sauté Brussels Sprouts: In the same skillet, add reserved bacon grease, Brussels sprouts, red pepper flakes, kosher salt, and black pepper. Cook until tender (3–5 minutes).
  5. Add Garlic: Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Combine Ingredients: Lower heat and add cooked pasta, bacon, pesto, lemon juice, and Parmesan. Toss gently until well-coated.
  7. Taste and Serve: Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan.
