Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, and seasonings. Mix gently and shape into 1.5-inch meatballs.

  4. Add bourbon BBQ sauce to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice sub rolls and toast for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the subs with meatballs, cheese, and bacon. Broil for an additional 1-2 minutes if desired.
  7. Serve immediately on a platter.
