Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of pitted cherries, ½ cup of water, and ½ cup of sugar (or monk fruit) over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches a gentle simmer, about 5-7 minutes. Press the cherries to release their juices while the sugar dissolves. Once the syrup thickens and coats the back of a spoon, remove it from heat and strain it into a glass container. Allow it to cool.
  2. While your cherry syrup cools, brew ½ cup of strong coffee using your preferred method. Once brewed, set the coffee aside to let it cool slightly.
  3. To build your Cherry Vanilla Iced Latte, start by filling a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour in the cooled cherry syrup, using 2-3 tablespoons according to your sweetness preference. Next, froth together ½ cup of vanilla almond milk and 2 tablespoons of vanilla almond creamer if you choose to enhance creaminess.
  4. Once frothed, slowly pour the vanilla almond milk mixture into the glass over the cherry syrup. Then, top it off with the cooled strong coffee, pouring gently to create a layered effect. Use a spoon to stir the contents gently.
