Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the chive and onion cream cheese with ranch dressing, garlic salt, and onion powder. Mix until smooth, then fold in chicken, bacon, green onions, and 1 cup cheese.
  3. Slice the Italian loaf in half lengthwise and hollow out some of the bread from the inside, leaving about an inch of crust.
  4. Layer shredded cheese at the bottom of the hollowed-out loaf, spoon in the filling, and top with another layer of cheese.
  5. Press the top half of the loaf back on, brush with melted butter, and optionally mix in garlic powder or herbs.
  6. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 30–40 minutes, unwrapping for the last 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
