Preparation
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the manicotti shells and cook until al dente, about 6–8 minutes. Drain and let cool.
- Combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl. Blend until creamy and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté minced garlic and diced onion until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Pour in marinara sauce with Italian seasoning and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Fill each manicotti shell with the ricotta mixture using a piping bag or spoon. Place them in a greased baking dish and cover with meat sauce.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil in the last 10 minutes to brown the cheese.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
