Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil, add short pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and cool slightly.
  2. Bake the Bacon: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange bacon on a lined sheet pan and bake for about 25 minutes until crispy. Chop into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Prepare the Dressing: In a small bowl, mix together sour cream and ranch dressing until smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix cooled pasta, chopped green onions, grated cheddar, and half of the crispy bacon until evenly distributed.
  5. Dress the Salad: Pour ranch dressing over the pasta mixture and fold gently to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle remaining bacon and fresh parsley on top before serving. Can be served chilled or at room temperature.
