  • 1 cup Sour Cream or Greek yogurt

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Creamy Chicken Stroganoff
  1. Start by cutting the chicken breasts into 1-inch pieces and seasoning them generously with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge the seasoned chicken pieces lightly in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the chicken in two batches, cooking for approximately 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the cremini mushrooms and onions, sauté for 6-8 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth while scraping the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Return the chicken and let it cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in sour cream and heat through for about 1 minute, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
