  • 1 package Wonton wrappers Can be baked for a lighter version.
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil Essential for frying; use a light brushing if baking.
For the Chicken Filling
  • 1 pound Chicken breast Main protein; can swap with tofu or shrimp.
  • 1/2 cup Teriyaki glaze Homemade or store-bought.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh minced garlic enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Fresh ginger adds fragrance.
For the Toppings
  • 2 cups Shredded cabbage Can substitute with lettuce for a lighter touch.
  • 4 stalks Green onions Adds flavor and color.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully fry the wonton wrappers for about 30-45 seconds until golden brown, or bake at 375°F for 8-10 minutes until crisp.
  2. In a non-stick skillet, cook sliced chicken breast over medium heat for 7-10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. In the same skillet, add teriyaki glaze, minced garlic, and ginger. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, then add cooked chicken to coat evenly.
  4. Fill the crispy wonton shells with the teriyaki-glazed chicken mixture and top with shredded cabbage and green onions.
  5. Serve immediately while hot and crunchy.
