Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Dragon Fruit Pie Crust
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of dragon fruit powder, 2 cups of almond flour, 1/4 cup of white granulated sweetener, and a pinch of salt. Use a whisk or fork to blend these dry ingredients thoroughly.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of melted butter (or avocado oil) and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix on medium-high speed until the dough starts to come together.
  3. Once your dough is well mixed, divide it into two equal halves. Roll each half into a ball.
  4. Take one half of the dough and press it evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan.
  5. With the remaining dough, press it firmly into the bottom of the pan, pricking the bottom with a fork.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake the crust for about 15 minutes. Cover the edges with foil if needed.
  7. Allow the freshly baked pie crust to cool completely on a wire rack.
