  • 3 bags Earl Grey Tea or 3 tablespoons of loose-leaf
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour ensure it's measured correctly

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare the Lavender Sugar by grinding culinary lavender and mixing it with granulated sugar.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Grind the Earl Grey tea bags until finely ground and sift to eliminate larger particles.
  4. Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground Earl Grey in a medium bowl.
  5. Cream softened butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  6. Add room temperature egg and vanilla bean paste to the mixture and beat until combined.
  7. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients gently until just combined.
  8. Scoop and roll the dough into balls, then coat them in the prepared lavender sugar.
  9. Arrange the dough balls on lined baking sheets and flatten them slightly.
  10. Bake the cookies for 9-10 minutes and cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  11. Prepare the Lavender Cream Cheese Frosting by beating cream cheese and butter together until fluffy.
  12. Spread lavender cream cheese frosting on each cooled cookie.
