Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together 1/2 cup of softened butter, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add 1 lightly beaten large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the creamed mixture and mix until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients and mix on low speed until just combined.
  6. Scoop out rounds of dough approximately 2-3 tablespoons each and space them 2-3 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers look slightly soft.

  10. Once cooled completely, serve the cookies beautifully packed on a platter or in treat bags.
