Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients and prepare your baking dish.
  2. Generously grease the bottom and sides of your baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Press half of the refrigerated sugar cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  4. Unwrap about eight Peeps and place them evenly over the cookie dough layer, gently pressing them down.
  5. Crumble the remaining half of the sugar cookie dough over the Peeps, distributing it evenly.
  6. Bake the dish in the preheated oven for approximately 8 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Remove the dish and gently swirl the softened Peeps over the surface of the cookie bars.
  8. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow the bars to cool completely at room temperature.
