Step-by-Step Instructions for Bánh Tiêu
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 packet of instant yeast, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Create a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour in 3/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes.
- Shape the kneaded dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl, covering it with a clean kitchen towel.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release the air and divide it into 6 equal pieces.
- In a deep pan, heat about 2 inches of neutral oil over medium heat.
- Carefully slide the sesame-coated discs into the hot oil, frying until they are golden brown.
- Once golden and puffed, remove the Bánh Tiêu from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain.

Notes
Ensure the dough is slightly sticky; if it's too dry, add more almond milk to achieve the right texture for fluffy Bánh Tiêu.
