Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together lukewarm milk, egg, and melted butter until combined. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and yeast.
  3. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
  4. Cover the bowl and let rise for 1.5 to 2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the risen dough to about 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface.
  6. Cut donuts using a round cutter and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Heat oil in a deep pot to 170-180°C (340-360°F).
  8. Fry donuts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
  9. Whip heavy cream with sugar until stiff peaks form.
  10. Once cooled, fill each donut with the whipped cream and dust with powdered sugar.
