  • 1 1/2 cups spelt, white, or oat flour Use gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar Or xylitol for sugar-free
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Dusting
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Or sugar-free powdered sugar

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, vinegar, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  4. Combine wet and dry mixtures until just combined, taking care not to overmix.
  5. Fill each mold of the donut pan about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 8 minutes until they spring back when lightly touched.
  7. Cool for a few minutes, then gently release the donuts from the pan.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
