Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted unsalted butter, and the egg. Stir until smooth.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  4. Remove dough and roll into balls. Optionally roll in powdered sugar before placing on sheets about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  6. Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie while they are warm.
  7. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
