Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a stand mixer, combine flour, sugar, yeast, salt, warm milk, and melted butter. Mix until smooth and elastic.
  2. Transfer dough to an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for 30-60 minutes until doubled in size.
  3. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Punch down the dough, divide into 12 pieces and roll into ropes, cutting into bites.
  4. In a large pot, boil water and dissolve baking soda. Boil pretzel bites for 30 seconds, then place on a baking sheet.
  5. Brush boiled bites with egg wash and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly on a wire rack and serve warm with honey mustard dip.
