  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Coconut sugar or honey are alternatives
For the Veggies
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Chopped, any color
  • 1 cup Kimchi Store-bought or homemade
For the Assembly
  • 4 rolls Hoagie Rolls Gluten-free rolls optional
  • 8 slices Cheese (e.g., Provolone, American) For melting

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain and chop the onion and bell peppers into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and sugar to create a marinade. Add the sliced beef and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the chopped onion and bell peppers for about 5 minutes until tender.
  4. Push the sautéed veggies to the side and add the marinated beef. Cook for about 5 minutes until browned.
  5. Stir in the chopped kimchi and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture into toasted hoagie rolls and top with cheese. Broil for about 2 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
