Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Allow it to reach the desired temperature for best results.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them attached at the back.
  3. Spread softened butter generously on both halves of the sliced rolls.
  4. If using garlic powder, sprinkle it evenly over the buttered surfaces.
  5. Layer shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls back onto the cheese-covered bottom and press down slightly.
  7. Wrap the assembled rolls tightly in aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese melts and the rolls are warm.
  9. Unwrap and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes for a crispy finish.
