Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. Roll out your pie crust and press it into a tart pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes until just starting to set.
  4. Whisk the egg in a mixing bowl, then add cottage cheese, Parmigiano, and salt.
  5. Peel and slice the pearl onions, brushing with olive oil.
  6. Pour the cheese mixture into the baked crust and spread evenly.
  7. Layer the onions on top with the oiled side facing up, applying black pepper.
  8. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serve warm or at room temperature.
