Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine 2¼ teaspoons of instant yeast with ½ cup of warm water and ½ cup of warm milk, letting it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add in ¼ cup of sugar, 1 large egg, ½ teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of oil. Gradually mix in 3 to 4 cups of all-purpose flour, stopping when a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  3. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, covering it with a damp cloth. Let it rise for 45-60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  4. While the dough rises, melt 4 tablespoons of butter and mix in ½ cup of Nutella and ½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips until smooth.
  5. Punch down the dough gently and roll it out into a 10x15-inch rectangle. Spread the Nutella filling evenly across the dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 even slices. Place rolls spiral-side up in a greased 9x13-inch pan.
  7. Cover the pan and let rolls rise for another 30-45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  9. Drizzle them generously with additional Nutella while still warm.
