Preparation Steps
  1. Gather all your ingredients: ripe Bartlett pears, freshly squeezed lemon juice, granulated sugar, Thai basil leaves, and water. Chop the pears into small pieces, discarding the core, and set them aside.
  2. In a blender, combine the chopped pear, freshly squeezed lemon juice, granulated sugar, and a handful of Thai basil leaves. Blend the mixture on high for about 30 seconds until smooth.
  3. Strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher. Press the solids to extract as much juice as possible.
  4. Once strained, add chilled water to the juice in the pitcher. Stir well to combine, adjusting the water based on your taste preference.
  5. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes and pour the Pear Lemonade with Thai Basil over the ice.
  6. Garnish each glass with a sprig of Thai basil before serving.
