Preparation Steps
- Gather all your ingredients: ripe Bartlett pears, freshly squeezed lemon juice, granulated sugar, Thai basil leaves, and water. Chop the pears into small pieces, discarding the core, and set them aside.
- In a blender, combine the chopped pear, freshly squeezed lemon juice, granulated sugar, and a handful of Thai basil leaves. Blend the mixture on high for about 30 seconds until smooth.
- Strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher. Press the solids to extract as much juice as possible.
- Once strained, add chilled water to the juice in the pitcher. Stir well to combine, adjusting the water based on your taste preference.
- Fill tall glasses with ice cubes and pour the Pear Lemonade with Thai Basil over the ice.
- Garnish each glass with a sprig of Thai basil before serving.
