Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with foil.
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 6–8 minutes until crispy, then set aside.
  3. Sauté chopped mushrooms in the leftover bacon fat for 4–5 minutes until browned and tender.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; mix gently.
  5. Fold in the sautéed mushrooms and crumbled bacon, then add shredded Swiss cheese and mix until combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the loaf pan, shape into a loaf, and sprinkle additional Swiss cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
