Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 1 cup of butter and mix with 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and finish with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  3. Sift together 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl. Gradually incorporate into the wet ingredients.
  4. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool the brownies completely in the pan on a wire rack before adding toppings.
  7. Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl.
  8. Optionally, add gel food coloring to the melted chocolate and spread it over the brownies. Decorate with sprinkles and mini candy eggs.
